The following chip set creates a radio solution for Dual Band CDMA/AMPS handsets. Some of these components will also work well in single band CDMA applications, including CDMA-1900, CDMA-1700, and CDMA-800.
- Chipset is designed for dual-band handsets
- Optimized operation for single cell Li-Ion battery (3.6V)
- Small Size
- On-chip control function eliminates external control circuits
- MultiPak (Multilayer Substrate Package PCB) technology used for dual-band PAM, matching components, control functions in package
- SOT-343 LNA: smallest LNA available with on-chip Bypass switch
- Migrating to BCC packages in 00
- Low Power Consumption
- Variable IIP3 Receiver (LNA and Downconverter) allows to minimize drawing current
- LNA Bypass state consumes no current
- PA efficiency optimized for medium power (16dBm), Low IQ (quiescent current) for lower power state
- Tx Driver amplifier uses adaptive biasing
- High Receiver Sensitivity
- Split LNA architecture allows to use Low Noise PHEMT technology (either PHEMT LNA or Disc PHEMT)
- Tx chain architecture with split-band filtering (HPMX-7202) and gain distribution minimizes Rx band noise
- Low Cost
- Extensive use of lowest-cost Silicon technology except LNA ( GaAs PHEMT)
- using high-volume industry-standard packages (SOT-343, TQFP and BCC) for RFIC
